How do you make VIPs comfortable at your events?

How do you make VIPs comfortable at your events?

Dr. Patrick Ibembe’s tips for organizers
It’s well established that when V.I.P.s attend large public events, they don’t expect to fall in line for the portable restrooms with the rest of the crowd. But taking care of this set within the context of a larger event requires some finesse. Dr. Ibembe Patrick (leading authority on VIP Administration and Management) shares some insights on how to do it effectively and seamlessly.

1) Maintain an efficient staff in terms of numbers and service quality as well as modern technology since it increases comfort amongst the VIPs. Other than fancy amenities or gifts, sometimes it’s avoiding simple general-admission hassles like waiting in line that makes V.I.P. guests feel the most pampered in the midst of a larger event.

2) The VIPs should be made to feel comfortable rather than cut off or isolated from the rest. In doing a public event, it’s clear that you’re going to get people who live there, who are A-listers or are used to being taken care of. However, it doesn’t mean those people necessarily want to be removed from the public experience altogether. Rather, they want the same experience, but with more comforts.

3) Have knowledge of the entire venue site. One of the most effective ways to provide an exceptional experience for guests within a specific venue or area is to develop an intimate understanding of the entire venue area in order to be able to address their needs at all times.

4) A lot of attention should still be given to the basics. It’s quite evident that no matter how lavish, a V.I.P experience may feel, pampering is incidental compared to guests’ basic human needs and safety. Safety and guest comfort is always crucial when
designing V.I.P. experiences, so don’t forget to focus on the less glamorous elements such as clean restrooms, cold water, and plentiful seating. Those details make all the difference and allow guests to keep their focus on enjoying the event.

5) Each VIP’s experience should be personalized according to their individual desires. It’s quite clear that the key to making V.I.P.s feel comfortable is treating each one as an individual. Rather than prescribe a one-size-fits-all approach. One should consider how each person prefers to be handled. Some people want special treatment. Some people get mad if you give it to them. We have people wanting different things in varying degrees so it’s quite important to personalize each individual’s experience.
