This thesis assesses VIP management issues and challenges in the modern state. VIP management is embedded in managing up and this thesis was conducted on political VIPs in a modern state where specifics were also analyzed in relation to issues and challenges.
A total of 3 female and 3 male VIP managers have been reviewed; these were from different nationalities and were involved in interviews.
In respect to the lack of research, relating to VIP managers in political environment in the actual political environment involving some of the highest offices like that of the Vice President in a state in Africa, this present research has been conducted among VIP managers in a political setting where very few people realize that powerful political VIPs are managed by other people who make decisions, brand them, protect them and plan almost everything from their families to policies, a case of one VIP in the political structure of Uganda government highlighting the VIP manager where his experience has been extensively captured from his time as a junior administrator up to his managing of a Vice President in Uganda.
